Facilities

Accomodation

Dudley Lodge has 9 flats (5 x 2 bed roomed flats, 4 x 1 bed roomed flats and a bedsit). One of the two bed- roomed flats is adapted to be used by a person with a disability. We have the facility to combine flats/rooms to accommodate a large family e.g. 2 parents & 6 children. All of the flats are fully furnished and well equipped. We are able to provide domestic equipment; however we do not provide towels or tea towels.

Training and Conference Rooms

We have three rooms allocated for meetings, conferences and staff training.

Kitchen

Dudley Lodge has a large kitchen, which is used by staff. Parents/Carers also use the kitchen for Residents Meetings and for social events.

Laundry

We have a laundry room, which is equipped with two washing machines and two tumble driers. These machines are token operated; tokens can be purchased from the main office. The laundry also has space for indoor drying.

Garden

Dudley Lodge has a large well-equipped garden. We have a variety of play equipment for all age ranges of children. There is a clothes-drying area in the garden.

Observation Room

Dudley Lodge has a fully equipped Audio and Visual Observation Suite.

Intercom System/CCTV/Audio Monitoring

There is an intercom system between the flats and the main staff office. Most public areas have CCTV and cameras are in place at external doorways and corridors. The CCTV system is used to monitor the movements of service users and visitors, and to monitor the reception and car park areas. Audio monitoring within flats can be used, if the situation dictates (with parental consent).

Chapel

Within the grounds, we have a Chapel. This is used for Christmas Service, christenings and monthly Communion Services. The Chapel can also be used for quiet private times and special occasions.

Playroom

Dudley Lodge has a well-equipped playroom. We have toys and activities for children from birth - 12 years of age. Older children and parents can use the craft equipment. We hold a weekly Toy Library for families. The range of toys available incorporates cultural and disability needs. In addition, we have a small upstairs playroom.

Public Telephone

We have a public telephone on the ground floor of the 'new building'. Residents are able to use this to make personal calls. This telephone has a privacy hood sited above it. Parents are able to take some personal calls in office areas or use a mobile handset provided by the Centre.

Car Park

There is a large car park situated at the front of the building.
