Community Support Project
In June 2015 we began offering a supportive and educational mentoring and befriending programme to families as a post assessment service.
The Project works with parents who have been rehabilitated back into the community with their child(ren), and with those whose child(ren) have been placed in alternative care. In the near future we also hope to work with parents whose viability assessment does not further assessment appropriate at the time of referral.
The project work with parents, providing:
- Advice and support
- Parenting guidance
- Life skills development
- Training programmes
- Counselling sessions
- Signposting and support to access local activities
- Peer support
At present, we can only offer this Community Support Project to families with a Birmingham or CV postcode.
