We’re constantly looking for ways to improve and develop so we can provide the best possible service and experience for families during their assessment. Feedback from families we support and the professionals we work with is vital for this. We love hearing updates from families after their assessments too, and we’re delighted to receive this 5-star review. Here, a parent gives insight into their experience and shares some reassuring words for parents coming for an assessment. They also share some useful advice to help parents get the most from their time at Dudley Lodge.

“I came to Bonner House for a 12 week parenting assessment and I can honestly say I haven’t ever received the support that I have here anywhere. ALL staff members that work here have gone above and beyond to teach me the skills I needed to be a good enough mummy to my baby girl.

We were so settled and learnt so much but was also given the opportunity to take advice on how to become a better parent and person. This place is a hidden gem and if you ever get the chance to do your assessment here take it with both hands and embrace the fact they are giving you the chance to remain with your child/children!

They aren’t here to set you up to fail as said in past reviews and when you come here the ball is in your court. The staff will support you through all your needs and work with you so you hopefully go home with your baby. For me this was a last chance saloon and with the help from everyone at Bonner House I am leaving with my baby.

I have never met such kind and caring people who are non-judgmental and are always there to listen if you need to talk. I cannot thank all of the team enough because without them giving me the chance to prove myself I wouldn’t have ever had the chance to be a mum again.

If I can advise people coming here one thing it would be to work with the staff who will support you fully should you be willing to put in the work that’s needed, and not listen to other residents as everyone who is residing here are here for their own reasons and you are there for one reason only, to go home with your child. Past reviews can scare people but my experience being here has been amazing and I am so grateful for everything all the staff helped me through!

The time here is what you make it. It can be a tough time but it’s all down to how much you want to change. I will never forget this place as coming here has been my biggest life achievement. Once again a huge huge thank you to all involved in my stay here you helped me see my worth and my life with my baby begins now! ❤️”
